Right, I have a hair decision to make! For several years I've been wanting to dye my hair a medium to dark brown, mainly because my natural colour is a mousy dark blonde and I'm really not a fan of it! I went down the road of blonde highlights for many years, making my plain hair look shiny and light! I've come to a point where I really want to see what I'd look like if I went darker instead of lighter. I want a semi permanent colour, something that'll wash out in a month or so.
My only worry is that my highlights will go a weird orange colour if I mess this up!
Therefore, I need your need! I have no knowledge in this field and I'm open to ANY suggestions!
This is the kind of colour I want to go for, so if you know any semi permanent hair dyes that give this look please let me know! The fate of my hair is in your hands xx
Ooo bet it'd look great :) Defiantly go for a semi-permanent; much easier to undo! Gariner Herbashine is my favourite, they do quite a lot od brown shades too x~x
ReplyDeleteHi! I just found your blog. Loving it so far as I am horrible with nails, so I am getting some great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI think the second picture is a gorgeous colour. I would really recommend going to a hairdresser the first time, to get the initial colour, then after you can start maintaining it yourself.
Please check out my blog, I am also obsessed with beauty!

Thanks Jade! :) Nail art is really easy, just practice practice practice!
DeleteOn a student budget I can't really afford to get it done professionally but hopefully the box dye will look similar! :) xx
I can highly highly recommend the Schwartzkopf (spelling? sorry!) Live XL dyes if you want a really gorgeous shimmering multi-toned chocolate brown. One of the best home hair dye kits I've ever tried, also one of the cheapest! Good luck and post some pics!!
ReplyDeleteI dyed it yesterday! Pictures up soon :) xx
DeleteHey, you absolutely have to do it - I did a year ago and I am in love with my hair. Only thing I would say is that you'll need in invest in a bronzer as your skin feels a lot, lot paler xx
